AS经济：如何写好AO1

写作部分，对于每一个objectives，要求都是不一样的。 今天我们开始逐一进行讲解。

AO1 Knowledge and understanding Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of concepts, key terms and theories in Economics, diagrams and the interpretation of economicinformation

AO1涉及定义的部分，需要完全准确。 做到这一点，其实很简单：根据教科书来回答即可。

大家可能并不用教科书学习，这个我觉得没有啥问题，毕竟教科书确实很难教会大家知识点。

但是当你学完一个知识点之后，你需要回过头看一下CIE的官方教材*，然后把定义背下来。

*官方教材是Colin Bamford & Susan Grant的那本绿色封面的，不是Terry Cook的那本紫色封面的。

如果你不按照教科书写定义，考试是有可能扣分的。 举2个例子

- 23S2Explain the difference between cost‑push and demand‑pull inflation

MS:Cost push inflation is inflation caused by increases in the costs of production(1). Demand pull inflation is caused by increases in AD not matched byequivalent increases in AS (1).

这里cost-push需要提到cost of production上升，然后再写SRAS往左，这个大家问题都不大。

但是demand-pull的定义，大家可能都不会注意这个not matched by equivalent increases in AS. 如果考试只写AD上升，那是会扣分的。

当然这里change in AS应该是写increase inAS, 但由于后面清楚的解释了是在full-capacity增加AD，CIE还是给分了

- 下图是一个没有得分的答案

这里犯的错误就是我们说的只写AD增加而不提到AS.

为什么要这么定义呢？经济原因是因为只有AD的上升超过了productive potential的时候才会出现demand-pull inflation. 比如日本今年的通胀在08年之后才首次超过2%.

但是更简单的一个应试方法是，书上的定义怎么写，你就怎么写。

Examiner report也提到了这一点：

考官可能会觉得很诧异，官方教材定义写的很明白，背了就有分了，大家都不看书的吗？

MS：An understanding of monetary policy (1); tools of monetary policy: interestrates, supply of money and regulations (1); nature of a contractionarymonetary policy (1)

这里的policy tools大家如果只写interest rate，是要扣分的。

书里很清楚的写了4个tools.

因此，这里的AO1，我会简单写这3个policy tools，来确保考试不扣分。

但你肯定也会说，AS我们没学过money supply，没学过bank lending啊？

没关系，AO1虽然写了policy tools，但题目后面关于怎么解决inflation的部分，你先写MS下降会导致interest rate上升，然后展开分析对AD的影响就好了。

AO1还有一个比较常考的就是画图，这里需要做到以下几点。

Label每一条线（包括坐标轴）

2.如果curve有shift，需要标明方向，以及前后的equilibrium

3. 每个图像后面，都需要跟一段文字描述，来说明图里发生了什么。图像左右不要环绕文字，图尽可能要画的大（至少6行）。

举个例子：

如果不这么画图会不会扣分呢？也许不会。 但既然这么画图和解释不会扣分，大家照做就好啦。

除了定义，公式，图像，以及基本的解释之外，AO1可能还需要回答一些题目里额外的内容。

23W2: Explain the difference between the terms of trade and the balance of trade in goods and consider whether an economy should be more concerned about its terms of trade than its balance of trade in qoods

先定义terms of trade和balance of trade，再解释他们的不同

23SP: Compare the causes of structural unemployment and cyclical unemployment

先定义structural和cyclical unemployment，再进行compare.

这个一般不在教科书里，答案也不唯一。

但cie对这部分的内容给分是比较松的，只要写对了就有分。

大家不得分的原因通常是漏写了，这是非常可惜的。

AO1的分数除了要拿满之外，时间控制同样重要：由于这部分内容几乎不需要任何思考，大家如果能在2分钟内把AO1写完，那后面就有更多的时间去写analysis和evaluation.
