• The Mustang Math Tournament is a middle school math competitionrun for middle school students around the world.

• It is put together by Mustang Math, anonprofit organizationincluding the directorsof the Stanford and Berkeley Math Tournaments!

• It comprises of an individual and team rounds with individual scoresadded to boost the team scores.

 Competition Format and Trainings比赛内容和赛前课程

• The competition comprises of 1 individual round and 4 team rounds.

•比赛包括1轮个人赛和4轮团队赛

• It also includes 8 hours of FREE video recorded lessons, where thestudents will receive training on various topics conducted by MustangMath Tournament contest development team.

Individual Round 个人赛环节

• Individual round comprises of 20 questions

• Students must solve all the question in 60 minutes

• All the answers are open-ended

Team Rounds 团队赛环节

第一轮：Mounting Mayhem

1. 本轮共设22道Slitherlink谜题，包括标准Slitherlink、Pigs and Wolves、非方形Slitherlink三种类型，每种类型包含一半基础谜题和一半进阶谜题；

2. 考生有15分钟学习规则，在接下来的60分钟内尽可能多地解开谜题。

第二轮：Herding Hexes

1. 本轮共设26题，问题分布在一个六边形网格上，考生需要在45分钟内完成。题目离中心越远，难度越大；

2. 前10题每题2分，第11-19题每题3分，第20-26题每题4分。

第三轮：Gallop

1. 本轮共设27题，分9组，每组3题，考生在60分钟内完成；

2. 每组问题难度递增，分值逐渐增加，总分420分。最后一组为估算题，根据答案接近程度得分。

第四轮：Relay Rodeo

1. 本轮共设21题，分四种花色（黑桃、红心、梅花、方块），每种花色5题，以及附加题（Joker题）1题。考生在45分钟内完成；

2. 部分问题需基于同花色中前面问题的答案，Joker题则基于每花色最后一题的答案；

3. 每种花色的前四题每题2分，最后一题每题3分，Joker题6分。

The team divisions are determined by the highest grade levelamongst the team members. 小组的参赛级别以小组成员中报考年级最高的学生为准

• Teams with 1 or more 8th graders will be in the Stallion division,• Teams with 7th graders and below will be in the Colt division,• Teams with 6th graders and below will be in the Foal division.Teams may choose to compete in a higher division, if they’d like.

• 小组中报考年级最高为八年级的小组将参加Stallion division,•小组中报考年级最高为七年级的小组将参加Colt division,•小组中报考年级最高为六年级的小组将参加Foal division,小组亦可选择参加高于其所在级别的比赛

 Individual Awards for each of 5 grades 个人赛环节获奖比例

• Gold: Top 10%金奖：前10%

• Silver: Next 15%银奖：接下来的15%

• Bronze: Next 25%铜奖：接下来的25%

• Honorable Mention: Next 20%荣誉奖：接下来的20%

• Remaining 30% get E-certificate of Participation剩余的30%参赛者将获得电子参与证书

Team Awards for 3 Divisions 团队赛环节获奖比例

• Gold: Top 8%金奖：前8%

• Silver: Next 12%银奖：接下来的12%

• Bronze: Next 20%铜奖：接下来的20%

Overall Championship for 5 Grade Levels总冠军

• For each grade level with more than 50 contestants, the following titles will be awarded:对于每个参赛人数超过50人的年级，将颁发以下奖项：

1. Overall Champion – Receives a Contest Voucher of $150 and 3 IJHS Scholarship points.总冠军 – 奖励$150的代金券和IJHS积分3分

2. Overall Runner-up – Receives a Contest Voucher of $100 and 2 IJHS Scholarship points.亚军 – 奖励$100的代金券和IJHS积分2分

• The Overall Champion will be determined by summing the individual scores and team awards (Gold =10 points, Silver = 7 points, Bronze = 4 points). The highest total score will earn the title of OverallChampion.
