It is a good idea for people to continue working in an older age, if it is possible for them to do so. Do you agree or disagree?

While some believe that working into later years brings benefits, I strongly disagree with the idea that it is a good practice. In my opinion, retirement should be embraced as a time for relaxation, personal fulfillment, and quality of life.

虽然有些人认为工作到晚年会带来好处，但我强烈不同意这是一种好的做法。在我看来，退休应该被视为放松、实现个人价值和提高生活质量的时间。

Firstly, continuing to work in older age can have negative effects on physical and mental health. Many jobs, especially those that are physically demanding, can become increasingly difficult as individuals age. Health problems such as reduced mobility, chronic pain, or cognitive decline are common in older adults and could be exacerbated by the pressures of work. Even in less physically strenuous roles, stress and fatigue from prolonged working years may take a toll on an individual's well-being, potentially leading to a decline in quality of life.

首先，老年人继续工作可能对身心健康产生负面影响。随着年龄的增长，许多工作，尤其是那些需要体力的工作，会变得越来越困难。活动能力下降、慢性疼痛或认知能力下降等健康问题在老年人中很常见，并可能因工作压力而加剧。即使在体力不那么费力的工作中，长时间工作带来的压力和疲劳也可能对个人的健康造成损害，可能导致生活质量下降。

Forcing or encouraging individuals to continue working can deprive them of these valuable experiences and limit the enjoyment of their later years.
