审题分析
(1) 这应该是一个新题。这2个月托福考了多次旧题，今天终于又出了一点新的题目。
其实托福之前也考过相关演讲方面的题目。
比如23年常考的这道演讲题目，很多思路是可以共用的：
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement:
Universities should require every graduation student to take public speaking courses.
(2) 教育类题目，题目也没有过多限制，难度系数中等。
(3) oral presentations的具体含义：
比如在课上，老师要求学生、小组同学，向全班同学介绍一个课题；或者就某一个问题发表自己的看法。
比如高中语文课对《红楼梦》的人物性格进行阐释；或者大学的国际关系课上，就中美贸易战的报道。
(4)可行的分论点：
应该布置。
--同意Claire，有利于学生未来发展。因为未来不管什么工作都需要跟人沟通，表达自己的看法。（举例）即便是作家也要参加访谈，演讲宣传自己的书；更别说老师，商人等等。所以布置一些oral presentations 有利于学生锻炼自己的表达能力。
--可以更好地加深学生对课程知识的理解。比如要学生要向班级同学阐释 中美贸易战，就需要自己搜集相关信息，整理，分析，总结。就加深了理解。
不应该布置。
--因为并不是所有学生都需要锻炼口头表达能力。因为对于以后会做程序员，医生和天文学家的人来说，这种作业会浪费他们本可以花在让他们做出更好的研究结果上更有意义的。他们是靠自己的研究成果来获得成功的。

Echoing Claire’s perspective, I believe it is essential for teachers to assign oral presentations to students, which lay a foundation for their future careers.Almost every profession requires solid public speaking ability. Even writers, who are often seen as solitary figures gaining fame solely for their writing, need to clarify their ideas during book tours. Not to mention teachers, who must deliver tailored lectures to students with varying levels of understanding.
By assigning oral presentations, teachers provide valuable opportunities for students to practice and improve their public speaking skills. For instance, students may be tasked with presenting on a topic they researched, which helps them organize their thoughts clearly and present them coherently under time constraints. Similarly, a student giving a presentation on climate change might need to present complex data in a way that is easy to understand and engaging, making sure to keep the audience interested while also conveying critical information. These skills are essential when they enter the workforce, as they will be required to pitch ideas, lead meetings, or present projects to colleagues and clients. Without such training, they may struggle to communicate their ideas clearly, hindering their career development.
