In the past several decades, advances across the board have created more opportunities for people. Generally, I tend to believe that the younger generation these days indeed has more options compared to the past.
To start with, young students enjoy abundant educational resources. For example, young people can opt to attend either private or public schools according to their needs, which can be further supplemented by extracurricular courses.
In addition, people have more choices regarding travelling. Thanks to the rapidly growing technology, unlike the past, there are several forms of transportation for the majority when they want to travel, such as bicycles, buses, metros, or planes.
On top of education and travelling, young people currently also have multiple ways to entertain themselves, which was impossible for people in the past without all sorts of facilities. At present, young people can go shopping, watch a film, or do various sports with their friends, enjoying the time of being together. Or they can just spend time alone, watching TV programs, playing computer games, reading books, etc.
To sum up, I hold the view that young people nowadays face more opportunities and choices than their counterparts in the past.
