Hello everyone! I amYvonne, the topic of my speech is"Tough days don’t last, tough people do".This topic comes from an English saying. Let me start with my own story - I'll show you how I learned to understand these words.
Although I am just a primary school student, I have had many tough times in my life, like studying for tests, getting up early and staying up late for school work, besides, I have to practice ballet, and it occupies every piece of my life. I just don't get why tasks keep piling up like dirty laundry. No matter how hard I push, I can't get through them. Sometimes I wonder - will my whole life be thisstressful? Just working until I'm tired, sleeping, then working again? What's the point? For months, these thoughts kept hitting me like heavy rain, but answers never came. Then one day, Taylor Swift's story made me see things differently.
Taylor Swift is a famous singer, but before she became famous, she had a lot of difficulties, she was just a normal girl who liked music, she wanted to change her life with her songs but cyber bullying, misunderstandings and queriesalways bothered her, when Taylor Swift won the Grammy Awards, she announced that "I need you to hear me when I say that there is no career path that comes free of negativity, If you're being met with resistance, that probably means that you're doing something new, If you're experience turbulence or pressure that probably means you're rising.
Taylor Swift's story teaches us something important: even people who seem born lucky still face hard times. What makes them stand out isn't having easier lives, but how they look at problems differently. Most of us see heavy loads as burdens to carry, but Taylor sees them as clay to shape into art.
My friends, because of Taylor Swift's story,I finally understood - challenges become stepping stones when we never stop trying. Those endless homework nights and ballet practices aren’t punishments, but weights that make us stronger, just like how Taylor's struggles shaped her music. Every tear I shed over math problems, every sore muscle from ballet - they're making me the kind of person who can weather any storm.Remember, the night is darkest before dawn, but morning always comes. Tough days don't last, but the strength we gain. That stays forever.
