JohnLocke作为含金量极高的论文写作竞赛，受到英国和美国各大顶级院校的认可，在比赛中获得distinction可以大幅提升美国和英国大学本科申请竞争力。往年参与学生录取成绩包括普林斯顿、哈佛、耶鲁、斯坦福、芝加哥、伯克利、牛津、剑桥等世界名校。

2023年John Locke论文比赛规则 

John Locke竞赛各个国家、各个学校的学生都可以参与。学生年龄为18岁（或者18岁以下），初中奖的候选人在截止日期前年龄不能超过14岁。

高年级组：15~18岁（7个人文社科领域选择题目）

低年级组：15岁及以下（初中组题目）

2021年有5000多人参加了John Locke论文比赛，其中有915名学生成功入围，入围率为18%。而高中组7大学科参赛学生的入围人数及入围比例如图表所示：

1、经济、历史是投稿数量最多、入围人数多及投稿比例最高的2大选择方向。

2、心理学：虽说投稿人数比较多，位列第三。但入围比例却是低于其他四个学科（经济、历史、哲学、政治），所以写好心理学方面的话题还是有挑战的。

3、法律：投稿人数很多，但入围人数及入围比例都是位于第五位，所以写好这一方向话题也是蛮不容易的。

4、哲学与政治：投稿人数不多，但入围率却靠前（仅低于经济&历史）。若学生在这方面比较擅长，则可大胆选择其中的话题展开论述。。
