然而今年John Locke的参赛方式和提交系统都有所变动，后台有不少同学家长私信询问报名细节与注意事项。本期分享我们就特为大家带来John Locke论文学术活动“保姆级”报名指南，希望对大家有所帮助～

需要注意的是：所有参赛者必须要在2023年5月31日 晚11:59 pm(英国时间)前完成报名注册。不接受在截止日期前未注册的参赛者提交论文与资料。

01、什么是John Locke论文学术活动？

John Locke Essay Competition是由John Locke Institute举办，旨在鼓励并培养学生成为思想独立、知识渊博、逻辑清晰、具有批判性思维与论证技巧的作家；帮助学生进一步完善学科知识体系，提升论证技巧。该论文写作活动邀请学生广泛地讨论各种具有挑战性与趣味性的问题，这些问题往往会超出学校课程范畴。该论文活动涵盖的主题包括：哲学、政治、经济学、历史、心理学、神学和法律等七个学科领域。

值得一提的是，该活动的评委均由牛津大学的资深学者担任，参与者有机会得到他们对自己文章的点评。

John Locke Essay Competition受到英美各大顶尖学府的认可，在该论文学术活动中取得优异表现，之后往往会受到牛津、剑桥、普林斯顿、哈佛、耶鲁、斯坦福等世界知名大学的青睐。

具体报名流程与填写指南

Step 1 访问John Locke官网

在浏览器输入下方地址，进入John Locke论文学术活动的官网：

Step 2 进入注册页面

向下滑动John Locke论文学术活动的官网页面，在2023 Global ESSAY Competition板块找到【Registrations are now open. Click here to register】，点击此处的【here】单词，进入注册页面。

Step 3 注册自己的账号

在注册页面的输入框中填写自己的邮箱地址，确认无误后点击下方的【Login/Register】按钮，进入下一步。

系统会发送一个6位数的验证码邮件，登陆自己的邮箱，复制该验证码，在John Locke注册页面的输入框中粘贴验证码，接着点击【Log in/Register】按钮，进入个人信息填写页面。

Step 4 填写个人信息

根据下方图片所示，如实填写以下个人信息：

所有个人信息填写完成后，请务必再仔细检查，确认无误后，点击【Create Profile】按钮提交。如果出现下方界面，则证明注册完成。

Step 5  上传并提交论文

如果大家的论文已经完成，可以在上方页面点击【Essay Submissions】按钮，进入论文上传页面。

然后根据下图提示进行上传论文并填写相关内容。需要注意的是：论文的需要以PDF格式进行上传，并按照规则命名文件: 名字-姓氏-学科领域-问题编号.pdf。

示例：Alexander Popham提交心理学类问题2的答案，文件名称如下:Alexander-Popham-Psychology-2.pdf。

PDF文件上传完成，填写完该页面后，大家一定要再次检查，确认无误后，点击页面最下方的【Submit】按钮，即可提交论文。

如果大家不能在论文提交截止日期 (英国时间2023年6月30日 晚11:59 pm)之前上传自己的论文，可以在之前的个人信息页面点击【Purchase Late Submission】，购买延迟提交服务(需支付20美元)，即可延长至在2023年7月10日 晚11:59 pm(英国时间)前提交。

John Locke的评分系统是专有的，评委可能会和候选者讨论他们文章中的内容，也会使用各种手段识别抄袭、代写、使用人工智能方式和其他形式的作弊。

论文的评估标准包括是对相关材料知识的理解和运用、论证是否充分、论文内容原创性、结构、写作风格和内容说服力。

论文顺利入围的参赛者将在7月31日 晚11:59 pm(英国时间)之前收到通知。大家还将被邀请到牛津参加9月份的学术会议和颁奖晚宴，届时将公布获奖者名单。无论是学术会议还是颁奖典礼都不强制任何人参加。
