01、什么是PhD？
PhD（Doctor of Philosophy），即哲学博士，并非仅限于哲学专业。
实际上，它可以授予几乎任何学科的博士毕业生。作为学历架构中的最高学衔，PhD通常在本科（学士）或研究院（硕士）毕业后，通过进一步研修、撰写毕业论文并成功答辩后获得。
哲学博士的头衔意味着持有者对其研究领域具有深厚的理论认识、独立研究能力，并能在该领域为学术界作出贡献。
02、本科能申请哪些海外/境外PhD项目？
入读PhD课程者并非一定先要获得硕士资历。在很多国家和地区，有心攻读研究生课程而成绩又突出的学士学位持有人通常会直接入读哲学博士课程，这类似国内的硕博连读或者直博。
具体来说，可以本科毕业直接申请直博的国家和地区主要包括美国 、英国、香港、新加坡、加拿大、和澳大利亚等，下面将进行具体的介绍。
美国
在美国，大多数学校都接受本科生直接申请博士学位。不过，值得注意的是，硕士阶段的学习内容通常会被包含在博士课程中，这与国内的硕博连读有相似之处。

英国

中国香港
香港是内地学生热门的留学选择之一，众多优秀学子青睐香港的直博项目。香港的大学普遍接受本科生直接申请博士学位。
一般而言，香港博士项目的学制为3至4年，具体取决于学生的背景：研究型硕士学历的学生学制为3年，而具有本科学历或授课型硕士学历的学生则需4年。在招生方面，香港的大学更倾向于录取来自985高校的本科生，并提供相对丰厚的奖学金，因此竞争较为激烈。

Admission Requirements Where a graduate unit allows direct entry from a bachelor's degree to a PhD program,the academic requirements for admission will be as follows: A. an appropriate U of T bachelor's degree, or its equivalent from a recognizeduniversity, with at least an A-minus average in courses in the relevant discipline; B. demonstration that the applicant is capable of independent research at an advancedlevel in the subject matter of the relevant program; C. at least two strong supporting letters of recommendation attesting to the applicant'sresearch potential; and D. other qualifications as may be specified by the graduate unit.
To be admitted as a candidate for the degree, the applicant must be accepted by theAdmission Committee of the relevant graduate unit.
A candidate accepted on the basisof a bachelor's degree will be admitted to a five-year PhD program with a seven-yeartime limit for completion of all requirements for the degree.

新加坡
新加坡凭借与国际接轨的教育体系和适合中国学生的语言环境，成为众多中国学生梦寐以求的留学目的地。
对于有意申请新加坡PhD项目的学生，通常会选择新加坡的四所公立大学，其中新加坡国立大学和南洋理工大学更是世界排名前50的研究型高校，它们普遍接受本科生直接申请博士学位。
以新加坡国立大学（NUS）的计算机系为例，该系要求PhD申请人至少具备相关的学士或硕士学位。
Eligibility for Application The normal minimum entry qualifications for admission to the programme by research are a good relevantbachelor's degree/master's degree. Candidates applying for Research Scholarships must have obtained abachelor's degree with at least a 2nd Class Upper Honours, or its equivalent in Computing or relateddiscipline. Candidates should have the ablity to pursue research in the candidate's proposed field ofadvanced study.
澳大利亚

Minimum eligibility You're considered an international student based on yourcitizenship -even if you're studying in Australia. To be eligible to apply for graduate research courses, you're normally required to have completed at least afour year Australian Bachelor course or overseas equivalent and achieved an overall average of greater than75% in the final year of the course.
You're also normally required to have completed a research project/component that accounts for at least25% of your year's work at 4th year undergraduate or masters level.
