Proposition 正方

The prop teams should argue that a global minimum wage would ensure basic labor protections for all workers in the workforce. This in effect will prevent worker exploitation particularly in developing countries.

They can also show how a minimum wage can help reduce extreme poverty by ensuring living wages worldwide, further decreasing inequality between the high and low-income countries. And finally with more income comes more purchasing power which is great for the economic growth of the world at large.

Opposition 反方

On the opposition side the teams should show that the hat sees what the students cannot, they should argue that around age 11 kids do not fully understand themselves and it take the magical wisdom and insight to place the students into the houses they belong that will help them grow into great wizards.

Opp Teams can also show how this system not only prevents biases during selection by say, preventing herd mentality selections, but it also protects the school’s tradition and identity that has been fostered for over a thousands year.

Proposition 正方

For the proposition teams must argue that student self-selection would help create a much better sense of self, as the kids can select the house that best aligns with their personalities strengths and values. The core of their case should emphasize that personal choice will lead to genuine belonging.

Teams can also show how this can help stop the harmful stereotypes for example the Slytherin house often seen as the bad guys, if students had choice these stereotypes will fade away and kids can better define their future path.

Opposition 反方
